As soon as we stepped in to reception we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. After checking in we were given a tour of the hotel, which is beautifully decorated and includes delightful courtyard gardens which looked lovely, even in February, with oranges in flower and fruit and plenty of greenery. Our room was extremely well appointed, with a large en suite bathroom and shower; there was a coffee machine and a delicious welcome snack was left for us every day. The breakfast was superb with an extensive buffet as well as hot food on request, with staff only too happy to help. There are spa facilities (- I didn't use them, so cannot comment) but the Roman style baths - hot and cold plunge pools and warm swimming pool - are available to all guests and were a delight. Best of all the hotel is built on the site of a first century AD Roman villa whose mosaics and pillars are visible through the glass floor in the dining room: we were also given a tour by a helpful member of staff, who took obvious pride in the hotel's historic connections. If we return to Cordoba - which I hope we shall - we would certainly stay here again.

On arrival we were told we got a larger room within our category due to 5 night stay. The room was beautiful, quiet, and even had a small patio. Loved a huge comfortable bed. With shutters shut I couldn't tell the time in the morning and slept way longer than intended. There are two stunning courtyards and a beautiful Mudejar lounge. The quality of food and drinks was exceptional. So was the service - friendly, professional, with a smile. The only shock was the price - it is a fraction of what you would pay for equivalent accommodation in France or Italy.

Far best Hotel on our hotel stay (wished we stayed longer) - Excellent hotel in a fantastic location to old part of town and places to visit. The staff really made this hotel stay a great time- very welcoming and so Friendly & Helpful. Hotel was so good and very peaceful and lovely outdoor pool (sun was out)! Breakfast excellent and great location for Roman ruins - food very good selection. Very quite rooms - we had a great location in terms of room to court yard and was a very comfortable room. Would really consider staying again!

The garden and the pool were lovely. The service was good in all areas, though sometimes a bit slower at breakfast. There was a good selection of food at breakfast and the quality of the food when we ate there twice in the evening was very good. The location was pretty good too, with about a 7-10 minute walk into the centre of town. It felt safe to walk around the area surrounding the hotel and into town. We didn't hear any noise whatsoever from surrounding rooms, which was great.

Beautiful historic Palacio with incredible features such as a Roman villa beneath it, stunning gardens, inner courtyards, lovely pool and baths. Great location, quiet but very conveniently located for all the major attractions. Near to restaurants, shops and bars. The hotel’s own restaurant was excellent providing fantastic breakfasts and outstanding dinner. Staff were wonderfully warm and helpful.
